As Senior Sales Engineer for APAC, you will be the primary technical expert and trusted advisor for Alpaca's enterprise partners across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a hybrid sales and technical role requiring deep API knowledge, enterprise customer support experience, and fluency in Mandarin Chinese for customer interactions.
Key responsibilities include: providing technical support and relationship management for existing enterprise customers; partnering with Sales and Solutions teams on pre-sales technical discussions and solution design; guiding new enterprise customers through API integration and onboarding; acting as the voice of Mandarin-speaking customers by translating business and technical requirements to the global engineering team; serving as the product and technical subject matter expert; working with local compliance and operations teams on regional requirements; owning technical sales engagement end-to-end (discovery, solution validation, RFPs, security questionnaires, demos); creating sales support materials and Mandarin-language collateral; coordinating with local regulators, vendors, and partners; and ensuring successful customer adoption of the platform.
You will travel within APAC as needed and stay updated on internal product development timelines to test and roll out new features to partners. This role bridges technical and business conversations, requiring strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English, deep understanding of financial services APIs, and the ability to work effectively with a globally distributed team.
