Artemis is an AI-driven cybersecurity defense company backed by First Round Capital and Brightmind, founded by veterans from Palo Alto Networks, AWS, Demisto, Abnormal Security, and Twitter. The company is building AI-powered solutions to help organizations detect and defend against advanced cyber threats in an era of AI-versus-AI warfare.
As Senior Recruiter, you'll own recruiting across both technical and go-to-market functions. Your responsibilities include:
• Building talent pipelines: Source engineers and GTM professionals (sales, customer success, marketing) with genuine expertise and conviction about who will move the needle.
• Closing candidates: Move beyond sourcing to actively sell the Artemis opportunity—articulating why the company, timing, and specific role matter to each candidate.
• Working backwards from hiring plans: Translate business needs (e.g., "3 AEs by Q4" or "senior backend engineers") into concrete recruiting strategies that land actual hires, not just applications.
• Speed and decisiveness: Operate in recruiting cycles measured in weeks, not months. Quickly identify and eliminate mismatches with clear reasoning.
• Shaping hiring strategy: Help define what "good" looks like across different teams, provide leadership with signal on what's working, and evolve the recruiting function as the company scales.
You'll need 3–5 years of recruiting experience with a focus on technical and/or go-to-market roles, a track record of placing senior-level talent at scale, and the ability to spot signal in unconventional backgrounds. You should have strong opinions about talent quality, disdain for process theater, and comfort operating in ambiguity typical of early-stage companies.
