LemFi is a Series B fintech company building financial infrastructure for the Global South, enabling immigrants to send remittances, manage multi-currency accounts, and access credit. The company processes over $1B in monthly transactions across 30+ countries with a team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries. As Reconciliation and Investigation/Resolution Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day reconciliation operations within the Finance team in London, reporting to the Reconciliations Manager. You own the quality of all transaction reconciliations—bank accounts, P2P, merchant, and credit card—and step into the manager's responsibilities when needed. Key responsibilities include: managing end-to-end quality assurance across all reconciliations; investigating and resolving account discrepancies (double charges, incorrect amounts, booking failures, unsettled transactions) before they impact customers or partners; leading the team's SLA performance on customer disputes and internal escalations; driving process improvements using AI-assisted tooling to reduce manual effort and errors; managing internal and external audit cycles with proper documentation; maintaining relationships with banking and payments partners; and presenting insight-led reconciliation reports to Finance leadership. You will coach and develop junior staff, working closely with Engineering and Product teams to keep operations aligned with new products. The role requires managing multiple priorities under pressure, meeting tight month-end deadlines, and maintaining precision throughout. You'll work a rotating weekend schedule (approximately one Saturday or Sunday per month, 3-4 hours) and cover bank holidays on a rota basis. Required experience: 5+ years in high-volume transaction reconciliation in fintech or merchant environments; proven supervisory or team leadership experience in reconciliations or finance operations; deep understanding of payment and settlement transaction chains in global/multi-currency regulatory environments; advanced Excel skills and experience with modern reconciliation tools; strong stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Nice-to-have: credit card reconciliation experience, knowledge of credit products, familiarity with accounting principles and banking system architecture, advanced degree in Finance or Accounting.
