Laborup is hiring a Senior Quality Manager to lead the quality function at a new, state-of-the-art precision manufacturing facility in Horsham, Pennsylvania. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires ownership of both the Quality Management System at a strategic level and active engagement on the manufacturing floor.
You will lead the site's quality organization and team, own and maintain the AS9100 Quality Management System, and drive continuous improvement across the operation. Key responsibilities include leading management reviews and site-level KPIs, managing performance metrics around cost of poor quality (COPQ), scrap, rework, and customer escapes, and maintaining a strong quality presence on the manufacturing floor.
You will lead investigations into nonconformances, customer complaints, and quality escapes, driving root-cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) to effective resolution. You'll oversee internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits, own and improve First Article Inspection (FAI) and production inspection processes, and support Material Review Board (MRB) decisions based on requirements and risk assessment.
Additional responsibilities include establishing inspection plans, control plans, sampling methods, and quality documentation; overseeing CMM, dimensional inspection, metrology, and calibration systems; utilizing statistical process control (SPC) and quality data to identify trends and reduce defects; and partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing to develop robust, repeatable processes. This role offers the opportunity to build and improve a quality organization from the ground up, not simply maintain an existing system.

- Experience with FAI and production inspection requirements
- Experience conducting or supporting internal and external audits
- Ability to use quality data and KPIs to identify problems and drive measurable improvement
- Experience leading and developing quality personnel
- Comfortable balancing QMS leadership with the daily needs of a manufacturing operation
