Salary: USD 130,000 - 160,000 / annual

You will lead QA strategy and execution across both mobile and web platforms, owning the development and maintenance of the mobile automation framework with a focus on iOS and expanding Android coverage. This is a high-ownership role where you'll build systems and processes that elevate quality culture company-wide, not just execute tests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and develop the mobile automation framework, prioritizing iOS while expanding Android coverage, including CI integration and reporting improvements
- Identify and cover core, high-risk mobile flows with stable automated tests
- Allocate ~50-60% time to web testing (Playwright) and 40-50% to mobile automation
- Contribute to both manual and automated testing based on priority and release needs
- Partner with SRE and Engineering to manage releases, CI/CD pipelines, and quality gates
- Lead integration of AI tools, MCPs, and workflow automations into the QA stack
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and SRE to elevate quality practices across the organization
- Build leverage through systems, documentation, tooling, and processes that help the entire engineering organization move faster with confidence
The role is based in the NYC office (Soho, Manhattan) with a hybrid arrangement: remote-eligible but those in the NYC area must work in-office at least 3 days per week, with Mondays as mandatory in-office days.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of QA experience, including at least 2 years focused on mobile automation
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Playwright
- Experience contributing to or scaling mobile automation across iOS and Android (e.g., XCUITest, AndroidX Test/Espresso, Appium, or WebdriverIO)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Prior experience mentoring or leading QA processes, if applicable to seniority level
