Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the energy layer for AI compute. The company owns and operates the full stack from electrons to tokens, addressing the critical power bottleneck in AI infrastructure.
As Senior Project Manager, Power Distribution, you will own the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Engineered to Order (ETO) electrical equipment manufacturing projects. You serve as the central point of communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, translating customer requirements into buildable scope and maintaining accountability throughout execution.
Your primary focus is low voltage switchboard manufacturing and skid integration of those switchboards into packaged assemblies. You will manage multiple concurrent orders independently, each with direct accountability for cost and schedule commitments. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving the customer submittal and drawing approval cycle to closure—the single most common source of schedule loss in electrical equipment
- Managing long-lead material exposure (breakers, bus, metering, instrument transformers, enclosures, structural and interconnect materials) against firm production start dates
- Setting realistic project goals and maintaining production schedules at work-order level, aligned with assembly line loading and plant capacity
- Collaborating cross-functionally with estimating, engineering, procurement, production, and accounting teams
- Managing order cost performance (labor hours vs. estimate, material variance, change order capture) and reporting against baseline
- Partnering with Quality to ensure Inspection and Test Plans are executed on time and to applicable standards
- Providing coaching and guidance to team members
- Completing project-level inputs for executive dashboards (schedule, milestones, cost, margin, risk)
You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with production supervisors, test technicians, and the materials team on the floor daily. Your work directly impacts Crusoe's ability to energize compute from sustainable, renewable, and stranded energy sources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5+ years managing projects in electrical equipment, construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries
- Working knowledge of low voltage switchboards, panelboards, bus systems, protective devices, and metering
- Competent in electrical schematics and electrical code knowledge for collaboration with engineering, technicians, and authorities having jurisdiction
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, elevation drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams; ability to weigh in on design aspects and advise on risks
- Experience creating, manipulating, and comprehending complex project schedules via Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com, Primavera P6, or Excel-based production schedules
- Demonstrated experience managing customer submittal and approval cycles as a controlled schedule activity with aging and escalation
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively
- Strong understanding of manufacturing scheduling and factors impacting timelines
- Ability to forecast and manage project budgets through completion
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or closely related field (equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience considered)
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience with manufacturing ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Visual; Acumatica preferred)
- Safety and compliance: This is a safety-sensitive position; drug and alcohol program participation required
BONUS:
- PMP or CAPM certification
- Direct experience with UL 891 low voltage switchboard manufacturing, including skid-mounted or packaged assemblies
- Data center construction or other mission-critical construction experience
- Advanced manufacturing process knowledge
