Form Energy is a manufacturing and energy technology company developing cost-effective, multi-day iron-air battery systems for grid-scale energy storage. The company has secured contracts with leading US electric utilities and is ramping production at its West Virginia manufacturing facility.
As Senior Program Manager for Electrodes, you will lead program management efforts for the development and scaling of Form Energy's iron-air battery products. Reporting to the Core Technology group, you will coordinate across mechanical engineering, materials engineering, and battery engineering teams to bring anode and cathode designs from development into high-volume production.
Key responsibilities include: driving electrode programs from prototyping through mass production while managing schedules across multiple teams; maintaining design release schedules from design reviews through supplier fabrication and factory landing; coordinating with supply chain partners on procurement of tools, active materials, and components; organizing routine updates on technical and program risks; improving program management systems based on best practices; and proactively identifying key decisions and risks to facilitate stakeholder alignment.
You will serve as a critical coordinator and communicator, tracking milestones and managing top risks across the electrode engineering organization and broader engineering teams. This role requires close collaboration with factory production, operations, supply chain, design engineers, and peer program managers.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in engineering or technical program management; bachelor's degree in a technical field (mechanical, materials, chemical, or electrical engineering); demonstrated experience in hardware R&D programs; experience with contract manufacturers and suppliers of high-volume custom components; excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels; ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously; and a growth mindset with bias for action in ambiguous environments.
