Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management for the Mission Autonomy product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, requiring deep expertise in supplier engagement, cost optimization, and product lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities include conducting supplier selection leveraging approved supplier lists; partnering with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, design trade-offs, should-cost modeling, and joint design development; developing and consolidating manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing teams; managing CAPEX throughout new product introduction; conducting value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and supply chain flexibility; completing BOM risk assessments with alternate component sourcing; ensuring component qualifications ahead of production; driving commonality optimization and supplier rationalization; and leading cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product targets while maximizing total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field with 6+ years of sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or hardware-software integration experience. Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO work at component and product levels is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in software or hardware engineering, experience in electronics/mechanical device design and development, advanced sourcing activities, supplier development, early supplier engagement, familiarity with high-mix low-volume manufacturing environments, startup experience, and ability to obtain a U.S. TS clearance. The role requires 10-40% travel and relocation to Costa Mesa, CA.
