Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual

As Senior Product Sourcing Engineer for Intelligence Systems, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. You will be the end-to-end owner of supply chain for the Intelligence & Space business line, responsible for engineering support, vendor onboarding and development, sourcing, pricing, and negotiating the total Bill of Material (BOM).
Key responsibilities include:
- Deep dive into engineering BOMs, working closely with engineering teams to ensure parts can be sourced and procured at target cost levels
- Conduct supplier selection, leveraging approved supplier lists and onboarding unique vendors to support Space & Intelligence business needs
- Drive on-time delivery using innovative solutions to break traditional Space industry lead-time constraints
- Partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost models, joint design development, and design simulation
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ramp production with high flexibility
- Manage total program costs including NPI and mass production
- Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessments and alternate component sourcing
- Ensure component qualifications ahead of production
- Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization
- Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product cost targets, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation
- Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at or below target cost
Note: This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3-month training period before transitioning to Ashville, OH. The position requires 10-40% travel based on program needs and relocation to Ashville if not already local.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component and product level
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on program needs
- Ability to relocate to Ashville, OH if not already local
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or advanced technical degree
- Deeper experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices
- Advanced sourcing activities including commodity/sourcing manager roles
- Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain)
- Early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments
- Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments
- Direct experience in the Space industry
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial subcontracts
