Datadog's Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) team seeks a Senior Product Solutions Architect to serve as a technical domain expert for the Service Management suite, which includes App Builder, Incident Management, Event Management, Workflow Automation, and On-Call capabilities. In this role, you will act as a technical multiplier across Datadog, partnering with Field teams on complex customer use cases spanning pre- and post-sales engagements. You'll design architectures for enterprise customers adopting Service Management products, including on-call escalation policies, incident response workflows, event correlation pipelines, and custom internal tools built with App Builder. Key responsibilities include: serving as the in-house subject matter expert for Service Management products; providing hands-on technical and architectural guidance to enterprise customers; creating high-impact technical collateral such as reference architectures, technical guides, cookbooks, and documentation; building proofs of concept and small-scale deployments to validate solutions in real-world customer environments; and acting as a trusted advisor to Product Management by delivering actionable feedback informed by field experience to help shape product roadmaps. You bring a strong engineering foundation with hands-on experience building and operating incident response programs, on-call rotations, or internal automation/tooling in production environments at scale. You're comfortable diving deep into codebases, understand distributed systems and core observability concepts (tracing, metrics, logging), and have experience with languages such as Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript. You're familiar with low-code/no-code application development concepts and comfortable operating in rapidly evolving, ambiguous technical domains. You build deep context across teams and translate it into reusable, scalable solutions, taking ownership from problem definition through implementation and measurable outcomes. You're highly detail-oriented, bring strong listening and consultative skills, and are experienced supporting customers in high-pressure, complex situations including live incident scenarios. You're able to travel up to 40% of the time. Bonus experience includes 5+ years as a Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer supporting incident management, ITSM, on-call/paging, or workflow automation tools (PagerDuty, Opsgenie, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Rundeck); using Datadog or other observability tools in an SRE or DevOps capacity; or building custom applications using low-code platforms.
