Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join the Roadrunner Launch Team at Arsenal-1, a hyperscale autonomous systems manufacturing facility in Ashville, Ohio. Roadrunner is a cutting-edge VTOL counter-UAS interceptor designed for autonomous air defense operations.
In this role, you will define, develop, and execute quality processes that deliver high-performance defense systems. You'll work across product development and production, driving clarity on production ambiguities, championing the transition from new product introduction to sustainable high-rate manufacturing, and owning product risk elimination to improve reliability across the lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include: leading root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities; developing overall quality plans (APQP-style) for projects; establishing metrics for measuring quality and predictive performance factors; leading product health data analysis and improvement activities; supporting continuous improvement of the Quality Management System; qualifying internal and external manufacturing processes; and matrix-leading supplier quality engineers supporting design and development.
You will leverage your expertise in VTOL product performance, sub-system performance criteria, metrology, and continuous improvement to set standards for manufacturing excellence. The role involves hands-on collaboration with engineering teams, accountability for results, and the opportunity to train under Anduril's world-class manufacturing team at HQ in Costa Mesa, CA for one month before establishing operations in Ohio.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field; experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality on high-velocity vehicle systems. Ideal candidates bring manufacturing, product development, test/system performance criteria, metrology, and quality planning experience.
