Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to lead quality processes for advanced missile programs. You will work across design, manufacturing, and customer teams to define and execute quality strategies that ensure high-reliability missile systems meet performance requirements from development through production and deployment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive product development and production quality through drawing reviews, quality planning, inspection, acceptance testing, verification, validation, and qualification of processes, parts, sub-assemblies, and complete vehicles.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities, analyzing product health data to identify systemic improvements and share lessons learned across teams.
• Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable, high-rate manufacturing by establishing metrics, improving processes, and eliminating product risk across the lifecycle.
• Develop comprehensive quality plans (APQP-style) for missile projects, leveraging the Anduril Quality Management System to build customer confidence. Define qualification requirements for internal and external manufacturing, measurement methods, PPAP/FAI, inspection protocols, and acceptance test plans.
• Matrix-lead supplier quality engineers supporting design and development activities with external partners.
• Ensure execution and continuous improvement of product and process requirements, supporting the broader Quality Management System.
You will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, with hands-on experience in missile or high-velocity vehicle systems (engineering, manufacturing, or quality roles). Required expertise includes design review and quality management of missile subsystems (PCBA, avionics, composites, propulsion, lethality), product development methodologies (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, GD&T), and mechanical/electrical manufacturing processes. Strong partnership skills with reliability engineers, chief engineers, manufacturing teams, and customer-facing groups are essential.
