FlixBus is seeking a Senior Product Owner to own the product lifecycle for their operational staff mobile application—an Android app used by bus drivers, train attendants, and station staff worldwide. This role sits within the Supply division and focuses on strategy, discovery, and outcome measurement, while an engineering team (Engineering Manager, 3 backend engineers, 2 mobile engineers, 1 data analyst) owns delivery and ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full product lifecycle end-to-end: from identifying opportunities and running discovery, through shaping solutions and defining requirements, to measuring outcomes and closing the loop.
- Co-own the problem space with business counterparts, building joint partnerships that replace handover-based collaboration with shared accountability for outcomes.
- Define product strategy and priorities for the app, working across teams and problem spaces rather than being bounded by a single team's scope.
- Drive hypothesis-driven discovery and outcome measurement, defining success metrics and validating assumptions.
- Partner with a global landscape of stakeholders to shape the next generation of products that support operational compliance and enhance passenger experience.
The app is currently being rebuilt, making this an exciting moment to join and influence its long-term direction. You will work in a tech-driven environment with a culture of collaboration and ownership.
FlixBus offers a hybrid work model (office-first with flexibility), work-from-anywhere options (up to 60 days/year), travel perks (12 free Flix vouchers + 12 discount vouchers), wellbeing support, learning & development programs, and a mentoring program.
Requirements:
The posting does not explicitly state years of experience or specific must-have qualifications. FlixBus notes: "We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply."
