New Relic is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own product marketing for Logs, a core component of their observability platform. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and market strategy, requiring someone equally comfortable engaging engineers on ingest pipelines, parsing rules, and query performance as presenting to customers and sales teams.
You will define how the market understands New Relic Logs—from positioning and messaging through product launches, sales enablement, and competitive differentiation. The role centers on a critical buyer tension: the choice between retaining all observability data and controlling costs. Your messaging will directly influence pipeline and adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning Logs positioning, messaging, and narrative across buyer personas and channels (web, campaigns, sales, analyst relations)
- Leading end-to-end Logs product launches, including tiering, messaging, content, enablement, and metrics
- Building sales enablement assets (pitch decks, talk tracks, discovery questions, objection handling) that drive field adoption
- Partnering with Competitive Intelligence to develop technically accurate differentiation and battlecards
- Driving the pricing, packaging, and cost narrative—translating data ingest, retention economics, and tiering strategies into buyer-focused stories
- Creating solution briefs, blogs, webinars, demos, customer stories, and reference architectures grounded in measurable customer outcomes
- Owning voice of customer through prospect/customer conversations, win/loss analysis, market research, and usage data
- Representing New Relic Logs at customer briefings, executive readouts, analyst inquiries, and industry events
- Defining and reporting metrics that demonstrate product marketing impact: pipeline contribution, attach rates, adoption, ingest growth, and enablement utilization
This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, operates autonomously, and can translate complex technical capability into compelling narratives for both practitioners and executives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–6 years of product marketing or closely related go-to-market experience in observability, with strong preference for log management, monitoring, or AIOps
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline, or equivalent hands-on technical experience, with sufficient depth in log analytics, retention, and tiering to engage directly with product and engineering teams
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product launches: positioning, messaging, enablement, and post-launch measurement with clear, measurable results
- Portfolio of personally written messaging and content (positioning frameworks, solution briefs, pitch decks, battlecards, technical blogs) that was adopted and used by the field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex technical capability into clear, compelling narratives for practitioners and executives
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, Enablement, Competitive Intelligence, and Analyst Relations; ability to operate autonomously in fast-moving environments
- Comfort with data: able to use product usage, pipeline, and market data to prioritize work and demonstrate impact
BONUS: Experience using AI tools or agentic workflows to accelerate research, content production, or enablement.
