Yousician is seeking a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the Yousician App, the company's flagship music-learning product at an inflection point. You will report directly to the Chief Product Officer with high autonomy and real authority over scope, priorities, process, and team operations. In your first 90 days, you will conduct a comprehensive diagnosis of the product, funnel, experiment record, and team ways of working, then present the CPO with a clear assessment and decisions. You will own the operating system of the team, turning strategy into staffed, dated, owned commitments with designated DRIs, decision dates, success metrics, and explicit kill criteria. You will drive ruthless prioritization around fewer, bigger bets tied to measurable in-quarter outcomes, and you will be judged equally on what you decide to stop as on what you ship. You will establish and run an experimentation program with decision discipline: every material bet has a measurement vehicle before build, and every readout produces a decision (roll out, iterate, or kill) on a date. You will set and track success metrics that ladder to conversion, retention, and revenue, managing the seams between Monetization, CRM, Content, and Engineering teams so cross-team work has one accountable owner. You will raise the team's bar on ownership and follow-through, coaching people to meet expectations and making hard calls on process, scope, and team composition when needed. Throughout, you will advocate for the user in every decision: accessibility, usability, and joy remain at the heart of the product. This is not a caretaker role. You inherit an established product and team; you are expected to challenge the existing plan, not execute it on faith. You will gather input widely but decide alone, including decisions that won't be popular. You will balance strategic vision-setting with running the weekly machinery that makes it real, collaborating daily across engineering, design, data science, and marketing. Requirements: - 5+ years in product management for consumer subscription apps at scale - Demonstrated experience taking over an existing product and team (not only founding or 0-to-1 work) and provably changing its trajectory, with numbers you can articulate - Track record of making hard calls and owning them: killed live projects, re-scoped quarters mid-flight, restructured team ways of working - Built or rebuilt an experimentation practice: hypothesis quality, statistical literacy, and a track record of acting on negative results quickly - Strong analytical skills: comfortable pulling your own data, auditing a funnel, and challenging a dashboard before trusting it - Deep understanding of user-centric design, usability, and growth strategy for app platforms - Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders; fluency in English Strong signals (preferred): - Music background: you play an instrument at any level and understand why learning music is hard and worth it - Experience in turnaround, transformation, or post-reorg situations as a PM, interim lead, or operator - Subscription and monetization strategy expertise for direct-to-consumer products - SEO/ASO and organic growth experience for consumer apps
