Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with brands and products. The company is scaling its fulfillment business as a strategic priority, aiming to grow from 1% to 20%+ of gross merchandise value (GMV).
As Senior Product Manager for Fulfillment, you will own a critical growth initiative spanning brand supply, retailer demand, fulfillment experience, and unit economics. You'll work across the full problem space—digital and physical—including marketplace dynamics, operational systems, and program economics.
Key responsibilities include:
**Brand Supply**: Build onboarding, sales enablement, and operational tooling that makes it easier and more compelling for brands to fulfill through Faire. This requires deep understanding of how brands operate and what it takes for them to change their fulfillment processes.
**Retailer Demand**: Drive 50%+ growth to participating brands through Faire Source by closing discovery, conversion, and cart experience gaps that prevent retailers from making it their primary purchasing channel.
**Fulfillment Experience**: Build toward 90%+ perfect delivery rates for Faire-fulfilled orders while identifying new levers that differentiate fulfillment on both sides of the marketplace.
**Unit Economics**: Partner with S&A and operations to halve the cost of fulfillment as the business scales, through order batching, 3PL collaboration, and brand consolidation.
**Cross-Functional Execution**: Work closely with engineering, design, operations, GTM, finance, and data science to ship end-to-end solutions. Define success metrics, communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly across the organization.
You'll operate in a 0→1 environment where the problem space is evolving rapidly. The role requires balancing competing interests between brands and retailers while maintaining focus on unit economics and operational feasibility.
Faire was founded in 2017 by early product and engineering leaders from Square. The company is backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator, Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, and others. Headquarters are in San Francisco with offices in Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, London, and New York.
**Requirements:**
- Business empathy: Deep understanding of how customers' businesses actually work, not just user flows. Ability to navigate marketplace tradeoffs when brand and retailer interests intersect.
- Cross-functional execution: Relentlessly chase problems across engineering, operations, design, analytics, and GTM. Earn trust quickly, lead without authority, work in lockstep with fast-moving teams.
- Systems thinking: Understand how your work fits into the broader puzzle. Build shopping experiences with unit economics in mind; build brand tooling with operational partnership in mind.
- Structured problem solving: Systematically break down hard problems with creativity and resourcefulness to find durable solutions.
- Analytical depth: Fluent in business equations and experimental data. Go deeper than surface-level answers on both product and operational questions.
- Learning velocity: Thrive in fast-paced, 0→1 environments where the problem space evolves. Improve meaningfully each month and grow alongside the problem space.
- Communication: Synthesize complex tradeoffs clearly for stakeholders. Write well. Keep the team informed and aligned.
- Alignment with Faire's mission and core values.
