As Senior Product Manager for Student Experience, you will own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for the student journey across both direct-to-consumer and B2B2C business lines, from onboarding and live instruction through graduation and job placement. You'll work with thousands of adult learners who are often balancing full-time jobs, families, and financial pressure, and your role is to build experiences that help them finish, get certified, and get hired.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning product strategy and roadmap for the complete student experience, challenging assumptions about how students learn and progress
- Partnering closely with the Student Experience team (student success coaches, instructors, career services) to identify where students get stuck and determine whether solutions should be product, process, or people-based
- Conducting regular student interviews, usability sessions, and feedback loops to ensure user needs shape product decisions
- Running a disciplined experimentation program with A/B tests and rapid prototypes to learn quickly and scale what works
- Collaborating with design and engineering to ship intuitive, mobile-friendly experiences for learners studying on the go
- Leveraging AI and automation to deliver personalized support at scale, empowering coaches and instructors rather than replacing them
- Defining and tracking success metrics tied to student engagement, retention, completion, satisfaction (NPS), and job placement
The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Product Management and is hybrid, requiring three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in the NYC SoHo office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of product management experience with a strong track record building consumer-facing products
- Proven success moving engagement, retention, or conversion metrics for a large user base, with specific launches you can reference
- Strong product fundamentals: structured discovery, hypothesis-driven experimentation, focused prioritization, roadmap ownership, and clear documentation
- Deep, genuine obsession with users and comfort turning qualitative insights and messy data into clear product decisions
- Comfort working with complex data sets and ability to write SQL to generate your own insights
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to earn trust quickly with operators, instructors, executives, and technical teams
- Ability to clearly articulate tradeoffs, make decisions with imperfect information, and identify the 80/20 quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including crafting narratives that drive alignment and action
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience building products in EdTech, healthcare, workforce development, or other mission-driven industries
- Experience designing for adult learners, career changers, or underserved populations
- Experience building products that blend self-serve software with human support (coaching, tutoring, customer success)
