Catawiki is a curated marketplace for special objects, auctioning over 100,000 unique items weekly across 80+ categories. The company has sold over 25 million objects and operates with a flat structure across 800+ employees in 60+ nationalities.
As Senior Product Manager for Search & Ranking, you will own the strategy and execution for how buyers discover special objects on the platform. Your mission is to shape search, ranking, and personalization across the buyer journey, making discovery more relevant and helping buyers find objects they love.
You will set and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for this broad product area, which brings together buyer needs, expert curation, marketplace priorities, search experiences, and machine learning. You will identify the most important opportunities, define success metrics, and lead cross-functional initiatives from discovery through experimentation, launch, and scaling.
Key responsibilities include: owning measurable outcomes across search relevance, discovery, engagement, and buyer conversion; using behavioral data, customer research, and commercial insight to prioritize opportunities; turning ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses and executable plans; designing and running rigorous A/B tests; working with machine learning engineers and data scientists to assess model quality and improve customer outcomes; integrating personalization into the customer experience in ways that feel useful and trustworthy; and communicating strategy, performance, and tradeoffs clearly to senior and C-level stakeholders.
You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Commercial teams. The role emphasizes outcome ownership, systems thinking across the full buyer journey (including auction dynamics and marketplace health), and experimental rigor in decision-making.
Catawiki offers a relocation package for those outside the Netherlands. The company operates a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week in the office (Amsterdam or Lisbon). Benefits include a €100 Catavoucher upon joining, €50 on your birthday, an extra day off annually to pursue your passion, and additional leave for work anniversaries and life events.
