FalconX is a pioneering fintech platform revolutionizing institutional access to cryptocurrency markets by bridging traditional finance and cutting-edge technology. The company addresses fragmentation in digital asset trading by providing comprehensive solutions for institutional clients navigating crypto strategies, liquidity, and structured products.
You will own the Risk platform product roadmap, driving both 0-to-1 product development and scaling of foundational systems. Over the next year, FalconX is expanding significantly into DeFi integrations, onboarding institutional crypto clients, and introducing new asset classes and structured products. This is a high-impact role where you'll apply traditional finance risk principles to a modern, 24/7 real-time crypto market environment.
Key responsibilities include: owning the risk domain vision and strategy; writing comprehensive PRDs and technical specifications that translate complex risk and mathematical concepts into actionable requirements; collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and risk/product leadership to ensure robust, responsive, secure real-time systems; independently leveraging SQL to analyze data, build dashboards, and monitor portfolio Greeks for risk and portfolio managers; and conceptualizing new order types, asset classes, and OTC derivatives using first-principles thinking.
You bring 8–12 years of professional experience with core product management expertise in trading, crypto, fintech, or financial services. You have 2–5 years of direct risk domain experience with deep understanding of derivatives, structured products (OTC, total return swaps), and how portfolio managers assess risk limits and Greeks. You are technically proficient enough to understand APIs and work seamlessly with engineers; strong SQL skills are mandatory. You have professional or active personal trading experience in cryptocurrency or other asset classes, with deep understanding of trading market structures. Background in Tier 1 investment banks (Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan) or proprietary derivatives trading shops is highly desired. You excel at writing specs, creating roadmaps, and aligning product and engineering teams, bringing deep industry knowledge and proven leadership to a high-growth environment.
