CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B platform for used-car trading across Europe, connecting over 40,000 buyers from 20+ countries with 85% exclusive inventory. The company operates as an operating system for the automotive industry, integrating software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing.
You will own a product area end-to-end, from problem identification through solution design, launch, and measurement. Your core responsibilities include:
• Driving conversion optimization across the entire purchase funnel by identifying drop-off points, forming hypotheses, and validating solutions through experimentation.
• Building and scaling API integrations with financing, logistics, and services partners—from technical specification to rollout.
• Managing product-side partnerships: evaluating which integrations drive volume, conducting negotiations, and ensuring delivery.
• Collaborating directly with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Operations to ensure decisions are data-driven rather than opinion-based.
• Defining, tracking, and acting on KPIs for your product area to inform prioritization.
• Working in a hybrid model (3 days office in Berlin Schöneberg, 2 days remote, plus 10 days work-from-anywhere annually).
The role emphasizes autonomy, analytical rigor, and ownership. You will work with modern tools (Jira, Confluence, AI assistants) and report into a venture-backed, growth-stage company.
Benefits include 28 days vacation, occupational pension (20% employer contribution), subsidized transit, gym membership, virtual stock options, structured onboarding, and a diverse, inclusive workplace culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4–6 years of product management experience in a digital B2B marketplace, platform, or e-commerce environment.
• Proven track record in conversion optimization with concrete examples of changes made and measurable impact.
• Experience with API integrations: ability to understand system interoperability and specify at parity with engineering teams.
• Experience managing product-side partnerships (selection, negotiation, technical integration, follow-through).
• Strong analytical mindset: you work directly with data rather than requesting reports, and base decisions on evidence.
• Excellent problem-solving and self-direction: you identify issues proactively and resolve them independently.
• Strong communication skills: ability to explain complex topics clearly to engineers, merchants, and leadership.
• German language proficiency at C2 level; English at business-fluent level.
• Proficiency with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• AI-native working style: active use of Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar tools in daily work.
PREFERRED:
• Experience with checkout, payment, or financing processes (e.g., BNPL).
• Background in automotive or risk management.
