Spendesk is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the KYC & AML squad, responsible for how the platform verifies, onboards, and continuously monitors businesses and individuals. This role sits at the intersection of product, compliance, and financial infrastructure, with direct implications for regulatory adherence, customer activation, and operational efficiency. You will own the product strategy for two core domains: KYC (company onboarding, document submission, representative verification) and AML (ongoing transaction monitoring, including a major TMS migration). Beyond your squad, you will serve as Spendesk's internal compliance translator, helping other product teams embed regulatory thinking into their work before it becomes a problem. Key responsibilities include defining and driving KYC & AML product strategy aligned to business goals and regulatory obligations; leading the rebuild of Spendesk's onboarding flow for individuals and companies to reduce time-to-activation and improve document completion rates; acting as the internal compliance expert for product across the organization; partnering with compliance, KYC-OPS, and engineering to convert regulatory requirements into a prioritized backlog; defining and tracking critical product metrics (time-to-activation, file completeness, cost per manual case, straight-through processing rate); supporting go-to-market teams with documentation and product launches; and evaluating vendor relationships for identity verification, monitoring, and compliance infrastructure. Required qualifications include 5+ years of product management experience in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services; working knowledge of KYC/AML regulatory frameworks, ideally EU or UK regulations (PSD2, MiCA); proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear product decisions that land with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders; experience owning or rebuilding onboarding or identity verification flows with measurable outcomes; familiarity with financial infrastructure and experience managing migrations or integrations; strong analytical mindset with ability to instrument metrics and drive prioritization; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; and an entrepreneurial mindset comfortable making difficult infrastructure and vendor decisions. This role offers the opportunity to own a structurally important product domain that directly gates every new customer relationship, solve genuinely hard problems including document completion, manual reconciliation, TMS migration, and US expansion, work in a domain where regulatory excellence and great product experience coexist, and help build compliance infrastructure supporting Spendesk's next growth phase.
