Wrapbook is an AI-powered production finance platform trusted by Netflix, Paramount, and other major studios. The company is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and WndrCo, with 350+ employees.
You will lead fraud and identity/authentication product strategy and roadmap at Wrapbook, owning detection, prevention, and response across the full customer lifecycle. This is a hands-on role working directly with engineers, not a delegative one.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and drive product strategy and roadmap for fraud and identity/authentication, from prevention through detection to response
- Prioritize and sequence the joint fraud + identity roadmap across dependent teams
- Work directly with engineers on scoring logic and rules; evaluate signal quality and discrimination power
- Convert analysis into shipped decisions via clear, ranked decision documents
- Act as incident commander for fraud incidents, coordinating across engineering, Client Ops, GRC, Treasury, and Security
- Define and instrument fraud and identity health metrics (detection accuracy, authentication coverage, customer friction)
- Push back on new signals, vendors, or enforcement changes that consume friction budget without reducing real risk
- Partner with Legal/GRC on KYC/AML compliance surfaces without owning the compliance function itself
You will report to the Senior Manager of Product Management, Onboarding & Lifecycle and work across company setup, worker onboarding, vendor payments, and other domains to orchestrate a holistic fraud and identity experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Owned a fraud, risk, or identity product surface at a payments, fintech, or marketplace company (not adjacent to it—owned it)
- Real fluency in detection tradeoffs: precision vs. recall, true cost of false positives, finite friction budget concept
- Comfort working directly with engineers on scoring logic and schemas, not just briefing them
- Experience running or co-running incident response; understanding that operational orchestration is the expensive part of fraud, not detection build
- AI fluency and demonstrated experience working with/building with AI to increase speed, accuracy, and automation throughout the fraud lifecycle
- Track record of decision documents that got decided and shipped, not just documented
- Experience with build/buy decisions around fraud platforms
- Ability to push back on senior stakeholders with evidence rather than defer by default
- Excellent written communication (Wrapbook is document-forward and remote-first)
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced financial industry certifications (CPA, CFA, CFE)
- Payroll, payments, or money-movement experience
- KYC/AML domain knowledge or vendor/AP fraud experience
- Hands-on experience with Auth0 or comparable identity platforms
- Exposure to synthetic and AI-generated identity fraud patterns
- Comfort wearing multiple hats and hands-on problem-solving
