Relay is a digital banking platform designed for self-made business owners, providing clarity and control over cash flow. As Senior Product Manager, Growth (Activation), you will own the critical journey from first login to funded, transacting, habitual use of the platform—the gap where most SMBs stall.
You will be accountable for activation rate, time-to-first-deposit, and depth of product adoption in the first 90 days, directly tied to revenue impact. This is a metrics-owning role requiring deep data competency and experimentation rigor.
Key responsibilities include: rebuilding the post-signup experience to accelerate time-to-first-funded-transaction; diagnosing and closing drop-off points between account approval, funding, and first payment; establishing continuous experimentation and lifecycle infrastructure; driving adoption of sticky products (multiple accounts, cards, bill pay, accounting integrations) through targeted in-product moments; partnering with Risk and Operations to minimize friction from compliance controls; and aligning leadership, Marketing, and CX around a shared activation definition.
You will ship high-quality product end-to-end, working as part of a design-engineering-product leadership trifecta. You'll own the entire first-run surface: in-product experiences, lifecycle messaging, and handoffs between Marketing, Sales, and CX. This requires staying deeply connected to SMB customers, understanding their hesitation to move money, and designing for trust.
Required: 5+ years of product management with a track record of materially moving funnel or lifecycle metrics; direct activation/onboarding experience in product-led businesses; strong data competency (self-serve metrics, SQL); fluency in experimentation design and rigor; excellent storytelling and cross-functional communication; hands-on operator instinct balancing details with strategy.
Bonus experience includes fintech activation work (navigating compliance, funding, risk controls), early-stage company scaling, familiarity with KYC/fraud frameworks, and lifecycle/CRM system building.
