Duolingo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead growth strategy and execution for a core team focused on user retention and habit formation. You will own the product roadmap for features that drive daily active users (DAUs), including habit-building mechanics like streaks, quests, leaderboards, and notifications. In this role, you will drive the full product lifecycle—from identifying opportunities and running fast experiments to shipping features and iterating based on data. You'll work cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, ML/AI partners, product designers, and product writers to create engaging, retentive experiences for Duolingo's 500+ million learners worldwide. Key responsibilities include owning product strategy and execution for a new growth team, driving the team's roadmap with DAUs as the north star, leading features through ideation to iteration, and improving core metrics such as retention (short and long term), L7, and feature adoption. You'll partner closely with leadership to shape the direction of one of Duolingo's highest-impact teams. You bring significant experience as a Product Manager on consumer mobile products, with a track record of owning growth or growth-adjacent surfaces (DAU/WAU or retention metrics). You have demonstrated ability to own product strategy end-to-end, from identifying opportunities through prioritization and launch. Strong analytical judgment, product instincts, and the ability to drive alignment independently in ambiguous spaces are essential. You're excited about rapid experimentation, learning from data, and shaping product strategy. Ideal candidates have experience with high-frequency engagement products (health, wellness, fitness, mobile games) and strong judgment balancing short and long-term retention in freemium models with monetization considerations.
