Skydio is the leading US autonomous drone company, serving defense, public safety, enterprise, and critical infrastructure customers. This Senior Product Manager role is highly strategic and will shape the future of Fleet Management and Internal Tooling across the Skydio Cloud platform. You will own both the customer-facing fleet management software that powers drone operations and the internal systems that enable exceptional customer experiences. You'll transform fragmented workflows, telemetry, service data, and field challenges into a cohesive platform vision, rallying teams across Cloud, UX, hardware, firmware, operations, support, and go-to-market from discovery through launch and adoption. Key responsibilities include: - Own and evolve the roadmap for Fleet Management and Internal Tooling, spanning device inventory and health, pilot and organization administration, troubleshooting, support, service, and repair workflows. - Define the end-to-end dock service experience from issue detection and remote diagnosis through dispatch, parts, repair, verification, and closure, with focus on reducing mean time to repair and repeat visits. - Drive feature definition and prioritization in close collaboration with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams. - Prototype and validate intuitive workflows that abstract complexity for customers. - Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems and develop user personas and use case-specific requirements. - Communicate plans and progress clearly across stakeholders; follow through to launch and adoption. - Collaborate with marketing, support, and customer success to deliver impactful product releases. The role is based onsite 5 days/week at Skydio's headquarters in San Mateo, CA, with relocation assistance available. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including experience leading software development for fleet, logistics, mobility, or other operationally complex environments. - Experience wireframing and collaborating closely with UX design. - AI-forward mindset with proven experience using AI to accelerate product delivery. - Familiarity with data modeling and API-driven architectures; ability to reason about systems at scale. - Strong technical fluency and ability to work effectively across autonomy, firmware, and cloud engineering teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Deep curiosity and empathy for users managing real-world operational complexity; excitement to travel to customer sites and engage with end-users. - FAA Part 107 certification required within the first 60 days of employment. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience with drones, autonomous systems, robotics, industrial IoT, or other mission-critical connected products. - Experience with fleet management, asset lifecycle, work-order, field-service, RMA, parts, warranty, or repair-management systems. - Experience replacing fragmented or third-party workflows with cohesive native platforms. - Experience serving public safety, critical infrastructure, defense, or other regulated, high-availability customers.
