Dave is a fintech company on a mission to provide affordable, transparent access to liquidity for underserved Americans. The company offers products like ExtraCash (up to $500 in minutes) and is launching Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and other credit products in 2026. As Senior Product Manager for Financial Data Intelligence, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the financial data platform that powers all underwriting, collections, and member experience decisions across Dave's credit products. Every credit decision at Dave starts with data—transaction history, income patterns, spending behavior, and repayment signals. Key responsibilities: - Define and drive a multi-quarter roadmap for the financial data platform, covering vendor integration, data ingestion, normalization, storage, and downstream access. - Partner with Data Science and Engineering to build data products and signals (income detection, cash-flow features, repayment indicators) that improve underwriting accuracy and repayment prediction. - Lead discovery and evaluation of new financial data sources, APIs, and partnerships beyond core bank data, taking pilots to production. - Manage relationships with data aggregators and third-party data providers, balancing coverage, cost, and performance. - Set standards and monitoring for data accuracy, coverage, latency, and compliance across all teams relying on the platform. - Define and report on platform KPIs, tying data improvements directly to business outcomes (approval rates, loss rates, member retention). - Drive opportunities where financial data can unlock new credit products, features, and member experiences. You will report to the Director of Product Management and work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Growth/Marketing, and Compliance. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving credit environment where you set direction, make trade-offs, and turn complex financial data into reliable products. Success requires comfort with ambiguity and a metrics-driven approach. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in fintech, lending, or financial data products. - Strong understanding of financial data systems (transaction data, account aggregation, credit bureau data, payments infrastructure). - Proven track record building data platforms, APIs, or decisioning systems in a regulated environment. - Experience managing external vendors and data partners (evaluation, contracting, integration, performance management). - Strong analytical skills; comfortable with SQL and BI tools (Mode, Looker, Tableau). - Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complex data and risk requirements into clear product specs. - Strong sense of urgency; act like a business owner, move quickly to test and ship without compromising data quality. - Proven ability to use AI tools to speed up data analysis, product discovery, and execution. - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience. NICE-TO-HAVE: - Experience with cash advance, credit, or lending products. - Knowledge of underwriting, repayment prediction, or risk modeling. - Familiarity with Plaid, MX, Finicity, or similar data aggregation platforms. - Hands-on experience with data pipelines, data modeling, or ML feature engineering. - Experience running A/B tests or champion/challenger experiments to measure impact of data or model changes.
