Salary: USD 120,000 - 200,000 / annual
Veeva Systems is a public benefit corporation and pioneer in industry cloud for life sciences, with $3B+ in annual revenue. The Falcon Writer team is building an AI authoring product that helps medical writers draft regulated life sciences content (clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, periodic reports) from customer data sources, dramatically accelerating document production while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
You will own core product features end-to-end: defining user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, feature specifications, and quality control checks. This is a hands-on role in applied AI where correctness is paramount. You'll work directly with medical writers, regulatory teams, and clinical teams at customer organizations to understand their workflows, compliance requirements, and source data, then translate those insights into a prioritized roadmap for engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own product design from ambiguous early-stage problems through shippable features
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Project Management, and cross-functional Product teams
- Acquire deep subject matter expertise in medical writing workflows and regulatory document requirements
- Define success metrics (authoring speed, draft quality, adoption) and use them to drive prioritization
- Be accountable for product success; maintain a builder's mindset and stay hands-on with engineering
The role has a preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones and supports flexible work arrangements (work from home or office).
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on product management experience
- Proven experience shipping AI or machine learning product features; ability to define AI use cases with clear user and business value, and to reason about AI system behavior, guardrails, verification, and human review
- Strong ability to understand complex customer workflows and translate ambiguous problems into clear product direction
- Extensive customer-facing experience with direct communication skills; ability to independently lead customer discovery and align senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Builder's instinct: preference for working in the weeds with engineering over reviewing roadmap decks
Nice to have:
- Experience in Life Sciences industry, SaaS, or enterprise products
- Familiarity with regulatory, clinical, medical writing, or pharma document workflows
- Experience with content management or document generation products
- Experience with Veeva or Vault
- Familiarity with generative AI workflows (prompt design, model evaluation, AI-assisted authoring)
- Experience building working prototypes with AI coding tools
