Veeva Systems is a public benefit corporation and industry-cloud pioneer in life sciences, with over $3B in annual revenue. The company is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own core features of Falcon Writer, an AI authoring product that helps medical writers draft regulated life sciences documents (clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, periodic reports) from customer data sources. In this hands-on role, you will: - Own product features end-to-end: user stories, functional/non-functional requirements, specifications, and quality control. - Translate ambiguous, early-stage problems into clear technical requirements and prioritized work. - Collaborate with Development, QA, Project Management, and cross-functional Product teams to ensure quality delivery. - Build deep subject-matter expertise in medical writing by working directly with medical writers, regulatory teams, and clinical teams to understand document workflows, source data, and compliance requirements. - Define and track key metrics (authoring speed, draft quality, adoption) to drive prioritization and measure success. - Lead customer discovery independently and align senior stakeholders across functions. This is an applied AI role where correctness and compliance are paramount. You will work in a domain where understanding how AI systems behave, where they need guardrails, verification, and human review is critical. The role has a preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones and supports flexible work (home or office). REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of hands-on product management experience. - Proven experience shipping AI or machine learning product features, with ability to define AI use cases that deliver clear user and business value, and to reason about AI system behavior and guardrails. - Strong ability to understand complex customer workflows and ambiguous problems, translating them into clear product direction. - Extensive customer-facing experience with direct communication skills; ability to independently lead customer discovery and align stakeholders. - Builder's instinct: preference for working in the weeds with engineering over reviewing roadmap decks. NICE TO HAVE: - Experience in Life Sciences industry, SaaS, or enterprise products. - Familiarity with regulatory, clinical, medical writing, or pharma document workflows. - Experience with content management or document generation products. - Experience with Veeva or Vault. - Familiarity with generative AI workflows (prompt design, model evaluation, AI-assisted authoring). - Experience building prototypes with AI coding tools.
