Key responsibilities include: defining product strategy and vision across both apps; leading a squad of engineers, designers, researchers, and data scientists; balancing ambitious product investments with continuous experimentation to drive engagement; leveraging qualitative and quantitative research to inform decisions; and partnering closely with data science and ML teams on recommendation and ranking systems.
You will create consumer experiences that combine thoughtful design, editorial expertise, and algorithmic intelligence. The role requires balancing joyful, effortless UX with data-driven optimization and strategic roadmap execution.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of product management experience on consumer products at scale; strong track record of translating user pain points into product strategy; fluency partnering with engineers and data scientists on ML-powered features (recommendations, search, ranking); proficiency with both quantitative methods (A/B testing, analytics) and qualitative research (user testing, interviews); sharp product sense for delightful consumer experiences; exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills; passion for books and reading.
Experience with native mobile apps and subscription models is a plus. Scribd operates a flexible work model (Scribd Flex) with occasional in-person attendance required.
