Catawiki is a curated marketplace for buying and selling special objects, with over 25 million items sold and 100,000+ unique items auctioned weekly. As Senior Product Manager for Demand, you will own a critical part of the buyer journey—from discovery and search to recommendations, auction participation, and retention.
Your mandate is to help more people find objects they care about, become active buyers, and return to Catawiki. The Demand area spans how buyers first understand Catawiki, how they browse and search, what gets recommended, their confidence in participating in auctions, and what drives repeat visits.
You will identify the greatest opportunities across this journey, decide what matters most, and lead a cross-functional team from insight to measurable impact. Solutions are not prescribed—you may improve ranking and recommendations, remove barriers to first purchase, create stronger reasons to return, or develop new AI-enabled experiences. What matters is solving an important customer problem, proving impact, and scaling what works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Set and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the buyer journey
- Own measurable outcomes across discovery, engagement, conversion, and retention
- Use behavioral data, customer research, and commercial insight to identify and prioritize opportunities
- Turn ambiguous customer problems into clear hypotheses, prototypes, and executable plans
- Lead initiatives from discovery through experimentation, launch, and scaling
- Define success metrics, analyze funnel and cohort performance, and build a rigorous experimentation agenda
- Design, run, and evaluate A/B tests, turning results into clear decisions
- Work with data scientists and ML engineers to improve recommendations, ranking, and personalization
- Partner with design to create simple, coherent, and distinctive experiences
- Use AI and rapid prototyping to test ideas early and accelerate learning
- Identify new AI-enabled buyer experiences where technology solves meaningful customer problems
- Create clarity, momentum, and accountability across teams with competing priorities
- Communicate strategy, performance, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior and C-level stakeholders
You are outcome-focused, taking responsibility for customer and business results, not just feature delivery. You think in systems, understanding how onboarding, discovery, recommendations, auction dynamics, and commercial priorities interconnect. You are intellectually curious, data-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity.
