n8n is an open workflow orchestration platform built for the AI era, enabling technical teams to automate faster with the freedom of code and speed of no-code. The company has grown to 260+ employees since 2019, with 650,000+ active developers, 190K+ GitHub stars, and a $5.2bn valuation backed by Sequoia and SAP.
As Senior Product Manager for Core Experience, you will own high-impact product areas across n8n's builder experience, from identifying critical problems to shaping strategy, shipping solutions, and iterating based on real usage.
Key responsibilities include:
**Make the Core Building Experience Exceptional**: Identify and solve high-leverage problems across the workflow-building journey, making n8n easier to understand, faster to use, and more powerful as complexity grows. Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering to turn technically complex capabilities into polished, intuitive experiences. Continuously improve how users create, configure, debug, and evolve workflows with high standards for usability, performance, and reliability.
**Reduce Friction from First Workflow to Production**: Find opportunities to shorten the path from idea to working workflow, particularly around setup, configuration, connectivity, and service access. Shape experiences that make AI models, web search, integrations, and other services immediately useful while handling underlying complexity elegantly. Balance simplicity with transparency and control for advanced, business-critical, and production use cases.
**Shape Platform Foundations**: Define product experiences and platform capabilities that make n8n flexible and extensible without exposing unnecessary complexity. Improve how builders interact with integrations, data, credentials, schemas, reusable capabilities, and emerging standards like MCP. Partner with Engineering and developer-facing teams to ensure the product scales across an expanding ecosystem.
**Drive Product Outcomes**: Engage deeply with customers, community members, and internal teams to understand real workflows and pain points. Define clear product bets, success metrics, and priorities, combining quantitative evidence with strong product judgment. Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data, DevRel, Docs, PMM, Support, and Customer Success through clear decisions and strong communication.
Required qualifications: Proven product management experience shipping impactful software in fast-moving environments; builder mindset with entrepreneurial, hands-on approach; excellent product and UX judgment for simplifying complexity; technical fluency with APIs, integrations, authentication, schemas, and data flows; strong product discovery skills; data fluency for defining metrics and investigating behavior; AI-native product thinking with active use of modern AI tools.
Nice-to-have experience includes developer product experience, integrations work, community or open-source involvement, AI product experience with LLMs and agents, and experimentation expertise.
