Justworks is a HR and payroll platform helping small businesses manage compliance, benefits, and payments. The Contractor Pod is building a unified product experience for businesses paying contractors globally—across different currencies, classifications, and geographies.
As Senior Product Manager for Contractor Management, you'll own the roadmap for contractor-focused initiatives, including unifying payment flows across currencies and classifications, building bulk and recurring payment capabilities, and simplifying the contractor onboarding experience. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and growth: contractor management is often the entry point for small businesses before they adopt full PEO, EOR, or global payroll services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving roadmap prioritization and scope using research-backed case development
- Navigating a complex regulatory landscape (contractor classification and pay rules vary significantly by country)
- Partnering closely with legal and international operations teams to define policy positions in emerging areas
- Working through the complete product development lifecycle from discovery to successful delivery
- Collaborating with engineering and design on fast-moving execution
- Coordinating with a parallel platform initiative rebuilding underlying data and identity foundations
- Engaging with customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Success) to understand pain points and validate solutions
- Operating independently within your scope while clearly articulating reasoning to peers and stakeholders
You'll be part of an experienced product team with a track record of building large-scale software for small businesses. The role requires strong intuition for customer needs, comfort with regulatory complexity, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. You'll champion team focus and productivity while removing obstacles to high-quality output.
