SumUp is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Consumer Lifecycle team, responsible for the product experience that converts app signups into active, transacting customers. This is a sole PM role with end-to-end ownership of the consumer activation funnel, from signup through identity verification (KYC), first funding, first transaction, and habitual use.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the entire consumer onboarding funnel end to end, with accountability for conversion at every stage
- Identify and ship product improvements at major drop-off points, with initial focus on the gap between KYC completion and first transaction
- Balance fraud and verification controls with a smooth, user-friendly product experience
- Run discovery, experimentation, and iteration cycles against activation targets
- Report progress to consumer leadership and manage stakeholder communication
- Build strong relationships across engineering, design, data, and marketing teams

The role is office-first based at SumUp's London Bridge location. Employment is permanent, full-time. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience leading a consumer product area with clear commercial and KPI accountability
- Strong track record of effective prioritization across competing demands from multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience driving engagement or retention within a consumer-facing mobile app used at scale
- Comfort balancing risk or compliance requirements against smooth, user-friendly product experience
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate progress clearly to leadership
