Jobber is a platform helping small home service businesses (plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers) quote, schedule, invoice, and get paid. The company is building an AI Workflows product organization, and this Senior Product Manager role sits within the Automations Platform team. The Automations Platform team builds the infrastructure that powers Jobber Teammate, an AI teammate that automates work for service providers. Currently, automations are expensive to build—each one requires specialized AI expertise. The vision is to make automation accessible: every repeated task a service provider does in their week should have an automation available. In this role, you will own two interconnected responsibilities: 1. Build the platform: Design and ship the authoring, execution, and evaluation models that allow any product team at Jobber to create automations without becoming AI specialists. This includes skill files, tool calls, and evaluation systems that continuously improve automation quality. 2. Build on the platform: Identify the highest-impact automations, ship them yourself, and ensure they are discoverable, easy to enable, and trustworthy to users. You'll be the platform's most demanding customer, keeping the system honest and focused. Over time, the platform will open to service providers themselves, enabling them to create custom automations that can spread across similar businesses. Key responsibilities: - Develop deep understanding of home service business workflows and the repetitive tasks that consume service providers' time. - Own the full automation platform lifecycle: authoring, execution, evaluation, and improvement. - Reduce friction for internal Jobber teams shipping automations; measure success on their throughput, not your own. - Build and ship the highest-impact automations directly. - Design and build an Evals platform for continuous automation improvement and quality assurance. - Partner with the AI Foundations engineering team to translate product requirements into agent infrastructure. - Define platform success metrics: cost and speed of automation development, user engagement, and library growth. This role suits someone equally comfortable in architecture discussions and customer interviews, with a growth mindset and ability to thrive in ambiguity. The AI organization is fast-moving; technology, positioning, scope, and roles will evolve as the company learns. Requirements: - 5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success shipping real AI products and tracking them through long-term outcomes. - Growth mindset; thrives in change and ambiguity. - Experience building an AI platform that achieved genuine adoption through advocacy, tooling, and documentation. - Track record shipping LLM-backed or ML-backed products with realistic understanding of failure modes. - Proven ability to make and defend contested technical decisions. - Comfort with unit economics; understanding that automation build cost determines strategy viability. Bonus experience: - Agent frameworks, tool calling, or evaluation and observability systems for AI. - Workflow automation, no-code, or low-code builder products. - Home services, field service, or SMB software.
