The Automotive team sits within Zopa's lending product organization and manages the full customer journey from decisioning and pricing through to customer and dealer experiences. This is a high-impact business area with ambitions to more than double originations over the next four to five years.
As Senior Product Manager for Automotive, you will own the product roadmap and make clear trade-offs across growth, margin, loss rates, customer outcomes, and partner needs. You will work closely with Sales, Credit Risk, Technology, and Operations to translate complex commercial and customer challenges into focused product strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the Automotive product roadmap with clear prioritization across competing objectives
- Collaborating with Sales and Credit Risk on dealer strategy, rate cards, decisioning, and sustainable growth mechanics
- Meeting with dealers, brokers, and intermediaries to understand pain points and translate insights into product decisions
- Using data directly to investigate performance, test hypotheses, and build commercial models
- Creating clear business cases and committee papers to align senior stakeholders
- Partnering with Technology to define, sequence, and deliver product changes
- Improving operational journeys to reduce cost, friction, and complaints
- Spotting market developments and translating them into practical opportunities
This is a senior individual-contributor role with real breadth and the space to shape how Automotive grows. You will have strong senior partners and the opportunity to build influence across a business where the best ideas win through evidence, clarity, and good judgment.
The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in the London office, with the option to work from abroad for up to 120 days per year (subject to work authorization).
Requirements:
- Owned commercial outcomes in a product, lending, or regulated environment and can explain the levers behind them
- Comfortable balancing volume, profit margin, cost, loss rates, and customer outcomes when making decisions
- Ability to work with raw data, conduct basic analysis, and use evidence to frame recommendations
- Experience delivering technology change through cross-functional teams
- Confident prioritization skills, including when capacity is constrained
- Third-party or vendor management experience
- Experience developing people or managing a junior colleague
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and self-serve BI tools
