Via Transportation is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Remix platform—the company's premier transit planning and scheduling tool trusted by transit agencies worldwide. Remix is the technology backbone that enables agencies to design networks, model scenarios, and optimize service delivery.
In this role, you will own the Remix platform roadmap, focusing on usability, scalability, and flexibility. You will champion AI-led insights that help transit agencies make data-informed decisions about service design, network performance, and operational efficiency. You'll maintain an end-to-end product view spanning network planning, scheduling, live operations, and performance feedback loops—ensuring the platform functions as an integrated system rather than disconnected modules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the Remix platform roadmap with focus on cross-cutting capabilities that all modules depend on
- Defining and driving the vision for AI-led insights within Remix to enable better agency decision-making
- Holding the complete product perspective from planning through operations and back, ensuring continuous feedback loops
- Identifying and prioritizing vertical feature investments to make each module best-in-class
- Partnering with engineering and design to improve platform usability for planners, schedulers, and analysts
- Collaborating with data science and engineering to surface AI and analytics capabilities effectively
- Engaging directly with customers to understand workflow pain points and validate priorities
- Staying current on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technology
You will work at the intersection of product strategy and technical depth, balancing long-term platform vision with sharp feature-level prioritization. This is a role for someone who can articulate multi-year direction while also making well-reasoned decisions about individual capabilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of platform or infrastructure-layer products used in complex enterprise workflows
- Big-picture thinking ability combined with sharp, well-reasoned feature-level prioritization
- Strong instincts for usability and product quality; ability to identify and resolve unnecessary friction
- Understanding of how AI and data products work in practice, with experience integrating analytical insights into operational workflows that users trust and act on
- Technical fluency in data models and entities powering planning and scheduling systems; credibility in technical architecture discussions with engineering partners
- Track record of shipping high-quality features in complex, workflow-heavy enterprise environments where precision and reliability matter
- Collaborative, direct communication style; ability to build alignment across engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams
- Experience in transportation, transit, logistics, or resource-intensive industries is a plus; ability to learn technical domains quickly is essential
