Via Transportation is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Remix platform, the company's premier transit planning and scheduling tool trusted by transit agencies worldwide. Remix is the technology backbone that enables agencies to design networks, model scenarios, and optimize service delivery.
In this role, you will own the Remix platform roadmap with responsibility for usability, scalability, and flexibility. You will define and drive the vision for AI-led insights within Remix, enabling transit agencies to make data-informed decisions about service design, network performance, and operational efficiency. You will maintain an end-to-end product view spanning network planning, scheduling, live operations, and performance data feedback loops—ensuring the platform functions as an integrated system rather than disconnected modules.
Key responsibilities include: owning the platform roadmap and cross-cutting capabilities; defining how AI and analytics capabilities are surfaced in the product; identifying and prioritizing vertical feature investments to ensure each module is best-in-class; partnering with engineering and design to raise the bar on platform usability; working with data science to integrate insights into operational workflows; engaging directly with customers to validate priorities and understand workflow pain points; and staying current on industry trends and competitive products.
You will be equally comfortable setting long-term platform direction and rolling up your sleeves to sharpen individual features. This role sits at the center of Remix's product strategy, requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of platform or infrastructure-layer products used in complex enterprise workflows
- Big-picture thinker capable of articulating multi-year platform vision while making sharp, well-reasoned prioritization calls at the feature level
- Strong instincts for usability and product quality; ability to identify friction and improve without breaking existing functionality
- Understanding of how AI and data products work in practice, with experience defining how analytical insights integrate into operational workflows in ways users trust and act on
- Ability to quickly become technically fluent in underlying data models and entities that power planning and scheduling systems; credible voice in technical architecture decisions alongside engineering partners
- Track record of shipping high-quality features in complex, workflow-heavy enterprise environments where precision and reliability matter
- Collaborative, direct, and effective at building alignment across engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market partners
- Experience in transportation, transit, logistics, or resource-intensive industries is a plus; ability to learn a technical domain quickly is essential
