The company operates Minerva University (named the world's most innovative university three times) and is expanding its impact by partnering with higher education institutions globally. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will own the full product lifecycle from problem definition through launch and post-launch iteration. You'll work in a small, distributed team with substantial autonomy to move work forward independently. Key responsibilities include: - Defining what to work on by synthesizing user research, partner feedback, support patterns, and business priorities; making a clear case for problems worth solving now versus later - Owning scope, sequencing, goals, acceptance criteria, and dependencies; working with engineering on feasibility and capacity - Connecting product, design, and engineering by providing designers with context and constraints, evaluating options collaboratively, and resolving product questions during implementation - Making success measurable by defining adoption, task completion, failure rates, or support load metrics; ensuring tracking is in place before release - Managing stakeholder needs across partners, academic teams, support, and leadership; surfacing conflicting priorities early and communicating changes proactively - Working directly with partners to understand product needs and coordinating with support and account management on issues and expectations - Carrying work through release by testing workflows, prioritizing defects, and deciding release readiness - Following up post-launch to identify gaps between intention and actual use, turning insights into concrete improvements You'll work closely with product and technology leadership, design, engineering, and partner-facing colleagues. The role requires maintaining regular working-hour overlap with the team across time zones. REQUIREMENTS: - Demonstrated experience independently owning software product work from problem definition through launch and follow-up, with specific examples of decisions made and outcomes - Sound judgment about prioritization and scope; ability to explain what you chose not to build, the evidence behind the choice, and when you changed your mind - Experience working closely with designers and engineers on products with complex workflows, multiple user roles, or competing stakeholder needs - Comfort reasoning with data; ability to question what metrics reveal and make decisions with incomplete evidence - Strong writing and clear communication with both technical and nontechnical audiences; ability to make complicated product decisions understandable without hiding tradeoffs - Ability to organize your own work, surface risks early, and close open questions in a distributed team - Interest in education and patience to understand how learners, educators, and administrators use software Plus (not required): - Experience in education or edtech, including teaching - Work with institutional customers, learning-platform integrations, or product analytics
