Salary: USD 135,150 - 198,500 / annual
Meadow is a modern payments platform transforming the $600 billion higher education payments industry. The company is building for universities what Shopify built for retail, bringing the entire student financial experience online.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will embed within a Product Engineering pod to own its roadmap, run discovery with schools, and decide what to build and why. You'll work alongside Product, Design, and Engineering from early-stage discovery conversations with Student Accounts offices at partner schools, shaping solutions from day one.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning your pod's roadmap and prioritizing work against strategic business goals
- Serving as the voice of your pod across the company, ensuring CX, Sales, and Leadership understand what you're building, why, and when it ships
- Building relationships with Student Accounts offices at partner schools, meeting regularly, and shipping products they plan to adopt
- Running discovery, defining scope, and writing clear specs for designers and engineers
- Exploring where AI agents can replace or augment traditional workflows for schools and students
- Defining success metrics upfront and using data to report on project impact
- Shipping multiple high-impact products within the first six months
The role is particularly interesting because it combines traditional product management with emerging AI/agentic paradigms. You'll work with LLMs and MCPs, building Meadow's own agents and connectors. Projects range from traditional checkout UX on point-of-sale devices to agent orchestration and live trace analysis of billing support agents.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Product Officer. Meadow is remote-friendly with offices in New York and San Mateo, but the CPO and Senior Product Designer work in-person 3-5+ days per week from the New York office, and the company welcomes candidates interested in working alongside them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Demonstrated 0-1 experience and/or early-stage startup (Seed, Series A) experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to make a case to engineers and school CFOs
- Bias to action and sense of urgency
- Ability to use AI to understand the codebase and gauge what's hard vs. easy; comfort holding your own in conversations with Product Designers and Software Engineers
- Bonus: exposure to FinTech or Payments
- Must be based in the United States; no relocation support or visa sponsorship available
