Dust is an AI-native work platform enabling enterprises to build, own, and run agents that coordinate human and AI collaboration. Backed by Sequoia and founded by alumni from Stripe, OpenAI, and Stanford, Dust serves high-growth companies like Datadog, 1Password, Cursor, and Vanta, with 70%+ weekly active user retention comparable to Slack and Notion.
This is Dust's first Product Manager hire. You will work closely with the product team to translate raw GTM signals, company priorities, and user feedback into actionable problems for engineers and designers to solve. The role bridges product, marketing, GTM, and operations, creating processes that connect market signal to prioritization and execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Qualify and synthesize high-volume, unstructured feedback from GTM, users, and product into a focused set of well-framed problems worth solving.
- Shape initiatives by working with engineers and designers to translate validated problems into Stack Rank-ready initiatives with clear objectives, KPIs, and scope.
- Drive outcome tracking: own reporting on whether shipped work moved the needle and feed learnings back into decision cycles.
- Improve internal coordination across Marketing, Comms, GTM, and Product to reduce friction in cross-functional execution.
- Own outcomes (not outputs) for cross-functional initiatives, including objectives, KPIs, orchestration, and reporting.
- Use Dust's platform (agents, skills, data) to continuously improve your own processes and the team's.
The product and engineering team is primarily based in Paris, with close collaboration across New York, San Francisco, and London. Dust values an office-first culture where the best decisions and unexpected breakthroughs happen in person, though the company trusts strong judgment on flexible work arrangements when it makes sense for the task.
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of product management experience, including time at an early-stage company where you built process from scratch.
- Founding PM mentality: senior individual contributor and builder who can establish PM practice while remaining hands-on.
- Genuine product taste and deep perspective on what makes great tech products.
- Excellent information synthesis skills: ability to distill customer feedback, sales calls, and Slack threads into sharp problems.
- Technical proficiency: you don't need to code, but you must understand systems and tradeoffs easily and deeply, earning the respect of engineers.
- Builder mindset: fluent use of AI tools, excited about their potential, thriving in environments where everyone builds.
- Effective communication: clarity over verbosity.
- Comfort with distributed authority: influence through being right, not through hierarchy.
