CancerIQ is a precision cancer prevention and early detection platform that helps health systems leverage genetic information at scale. The company has raised over $26 million (Series B led by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Amgen Ventures) and operates across 200+ clinical locations nationwide.
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end product roadmap for the CancerIQ platform—the full suite of workflows powering hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic testing, and screening compliance for 60+ enterprise health-system customers. This role sits at the intersection of clinical oncology, health-system operations, and software product development.
Key responsibilities include:
**Product Strategy & Roadmap:** Own the prioritized roadmap, balancing customer needs, market trends, clinical best practice, and business priorities. Translate company strategy into clear, sequenced initiatives and communicate trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional teams. Define and track success metrics for shipped features using data to validate impact.
**Clinical Domain Expertise:** Develop deep working knowledge of hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic counseling workflows, and genetic testing pathways. Partner directly with genetic counselors, Oncology Service Line Leaders, and Directors of Breast Centers and Cancer Services. Stay current on clinical guidelines, payor policy, and industry trends in cancer genetics and screening.
**AI-enabled Product Management:** Demonstrate proficiency using AI tools throughout the product lifecycle—from customer discovery and UX exploration to requirements, delivery, and validation. Use AI to synthesize customer interviews, support trends, and product data into clear opportunities. Leverage AI juries and simulated user feedback to explore UX concepts. Produce complete user stories with context, acceptance criteria, and edge cases using AI. Create and iterate on prototypes and product concepts collaboratively. Use AI to challenge assumptions and identify gaps before development. Apply sound judgment in evaluating AI output for accuracy, bias, privacy, and relevance.
**Execution & Delivery:** Write clear, well-scoped requirements and user stories. Partner closely with Engineering throughout the build cycle. Manage scope, sequencing, and trade-offs across concurrent initiatives.
**Feature Adoption & Change Management:** Partner with Customer Success to ensure adoption is part of the definition of done. Build go-to-market and rollout plans including training materials and in-app guidance. Define adoption metrics for major releases and track post-launch. Design onboarding flows and change-management support for workflow-altering features. Run post-launch retrospectives to diagnose low-adoption features.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing. Serve as a key product voice representing the customer and clinical perspective in leadership discussions.
**Customer & Market Insight:** Conduct customer discovery, interviews, site visits, and workflow observation with health-system stakeholders. Analyze usage and outcomes data across the customer base. Conduct ongoing market trend analysis in oncology care delivery and precision medicine. Monitor competitive and regulatory landscape in hereditary cancer risk.
