Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history, delivering empirical geospatial data via a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. As Senior Product Manager for Analysis Ready Data (ARD) Products, you will own the development and go-to-market execution of the ARD product suite—including Mosaics, Analysis Ready Planetscope (ARPS), and Fusion—which transform raw satellite imagery into actionable intelligence for tracking deforestation, monitoring crop health, and supporting disaster response.
You will sit at the intersection of Planet's most technically complex products and its most demanding enterprise customers. Working closely with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams, you will document product requirements, synthesize customer feedback, and drive sprint planning and delivery. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the data team to build product metric dashboards (time-to-activation, retention), supporting early-access programs to validate product-market fit, and partnering with pre-sales as a product expert to ensure optimal customer fit.
You will join customer meetings as a product evangelist, teach and learn from technical users, help prototype customer-facing solutions using AI tools, and synthesize customer and sales input into clear use cases and requirements. You will also partner with internal solution builders to help Planet transition to a solutions-oriented company and contribute foundational data products for AI-native solutions.
This role is not a direct supervisory position; effectiveness requires strong collaboration, commitment to agile principles, and leadership through influence. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge geospatial technology, defense applications, and AI-native products. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in either the San Francisco or Arlington office.
