Robinhood is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design strategy and execution for the core equities trading business. This is a high-visibility individual contributor role focused on building intuitive, rapid-execution trading interfaces that serve millions of users.
You will be fully accountable for the design of Robinhood's central trading product, from initial concept through launch. Key responsibilities include leading product design strategy to create cohesive trading experiences, evaluating and redesigning core trading surfaces (order forms, ladder charts) to improve interaction speed and simplify complex financial concepts, and collaborating directly with engineering, product management, design leadership, and legal teams to guide projects from conception to production.
The role emphasizes deep craft, transparency, and relentless focus on user experience. You'll utilize and assess AI tools within your design process to optimize workflows and propose novel solutions. You'll also provide transparent project updates to leadership and help shape long-term design standards across the broader trading team.
Required qualifications include proven experience designing complex user interfaces and large, multifaceted products—ideally within fintech, trading platforms, or complex editing applications. You must operate independently, lead projects from zero to one, and deliver results against weekly milestones. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to coordinate across multiple teams and present design decisions to leadership. A deep focus on interaction craft and demonstrated ability to evaluate how multiple product surfaces work together as a cohesive system is critical. Openness to exploring and integrating emerging technologies, including AI tools, is expected.
This role is based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Robinhood emphasizes the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community.
