You will join the centralized Software Product Design & Research team as a Senior Product Designer focused on the Space organization. Working alongside another designer, you will own the design direction for spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences. Your work will directly impact mission-critical environments, serving specialized stakeholders including space systems engineers, product managers, and military operators.
Key responsibilities include: owning spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences from discovery through delivery; defining design direction within your domain with guidance from a design lead; leading discovery and validation through problem decomposition sessions and stakeholder workshops; familiarizing yourself with existing Mission Planning variants across maritime and aerial autonomy to identify reuse opportunities; shaping how product design integrates with engineering and product management through close collaboration and iterative prototyping; ensuring work is well-documented through strong narrative skills, journey maps, user workflows, and high-fidelity mockups; participating in team critique to learn Anduril-wide implementations; and partnering with the design systems team to evolve the underlying platform.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of product design, UX, or HCI experience with proven ability to execute high-craft, technically informed solutions; developing autonomy in design execution with ability to work independently on feature-level work while seeking guidance on complex ambiguities; deep expertise in visual and interaction design with proven ability to design complex technical workflows where precision, clarity, and attention to detail are critical; systems thinking mindset; and ability to communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
