Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for Secrets Manager, a developer-focused secrets management platform used by DevOps and engineering teams worldwide. Secrets Manager enables secure storage, sharing, management, and automation of infrastructure secrets including API keys, database passwords, SSH keys, TLS certificates, and service credentials.
In this role, you will own the complete design experience across Secrets Manager's web app and CLI, including secrets creation and management flows, machine account and service account access controls, project organization, audit logs, and CI/CD pipeline integrations. The core challenge is making complex infrastructure security workflows feel clear and efficient for engineers who demand precision and speed.
Key responsibilities include analyzing product feedback from DevOps and developer users, tracking market trends in secrets management and infrastructure security, and generating, testing, and iterating on design concepts. You will create user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs; design and prototype developer-centric solutions across web and CLI surfaces; conduct user research and usability testing with technical audiences; facilitate design critique sessions with product managers and stakeholders; and contribute to the evolution of Bitwarden's design system.
You bring 5+ years of product design experience with strong communication skills across sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. You are proficient in Figma, Claude, ChatGPT, V0, Adobe XD, GitHub, and other design and development tools. You have expertise in planning and executing comprehensive user research and testing cycles, familiarity with prompt writing for AI tools, and technical design knowledge including front-end engineering practices and systems thinking. You demonstrate the ability to influence leadership using data and user feedback, work collaboratively and adaptably, and bring enthusiasm for open-source software and internet security. An online portfolio showcasing a variety of UX artifacts is required.
