ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US, connecting over 125,000 restaurants with organizations seeking flexible meal solutions. The company serves both workplace customers and restaurant partners, providing 24/7 service and business-grade reliability.
As Senior Product Designer on the Supplier Self-Service pod, you will own the end-to-end experience that empowers restaurant partners to independently manage and grow their ezCater business. Your focus is on replacing manual, one-off handling with self-service tools that suppliers can confidently use without internal support—from menu updates and availability adjustments to performance tracking and issue resolution.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own the supplier self-service experience end-to-end, designing tools and flows for menu management, availability, business info, performance analytics, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Product, Analytics, UX Research, and Supply Operations to identify high-friction or high-volume supplier actions and design scalable self-service alternatives, determining when UI improvements, new functionality, policy changes, or structural rethinks are needed.
• Design for the full spectrum of supplier sophistication, from single-location independent restaurants to multi-location and enterprise partners, ensuring tools scale cleanly across all segments.
• Raise the bar on interaction, systems, and visual design through user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Contribute to and advocate for the design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility across all partner touchpoints.
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary alignment through workshops, critiques, and working sessions that help Product, Engineering, and Supply Operations converge on self-service investments that reduce internal dependency and strengthen supply.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate the design process—from early prototyping to research synthesis—and help the broader team adopt them effectively.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, interaction designer, or similar role, with accompanying visual/graphic design experience.
• Comfort designing systems, not just screens—understanding how individual decisions scale across complex customer journeys, edge cases, and future functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, frame ambiguous problems, and influence product direction beyond executing predefined requirements.
• Track record of shaping what teams work on, not just how it looks—helping teams solve clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
• Proficiency with Figma, Claude design, and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to explain complex flows and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical partners.
• Well-developed collaboration and facilitation skills.
• Detailed portfolio showcasing your process from discovery through launch and iteration, plus customer and business impact.
• Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings and events.
Bonus experience: two-sided marketplace design (especially supply/partner-facing), account management or back-office tools for business users, restaurant/catering/delivery/gig industry background, service design or journey mapping, operational workflow design, or frameworks like Jobs To Be Done.
