Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design for its Privileged Access Management (PAM) product within the Bitwarden Center of Excellence team. PAM is a security-focused offering that helps organizations secure, monitor, and control access to sensitive infrastructure and systems used by security, IT, and DevOps teams.
You will own end-to-end design for the PAM product, including privileged account and credential vaulting, access approval and just-in-time elevation workflows, session brokering and recording, privileged account discovery, and audit/compliance reporting. The core design challenge is making high-stakes access control and monitoring workflows feel clear, trustworthy, and efficient for security practitioners who demand precision, auditability, and speed.
Key responsibilities include analyzing product feedback from technical security audiences, generating and iterating on design concepts, creating user flows and production-ready designs, conducting user research and usability testing with security-focused teams, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders, and contributing to the Bitwarden design system as PAM evolves.
You will design across multiple surfaces: the PAM web app, admin console, and integration points (SSO, directory services, SIEM). This is a technical, workflow-driven design role—not a consumer product, mobile, or end-user dashboard position.
Required: 5+ years of product design experience, proficiency in Figma and design tools, expertise in user research and testing, technical design knowledge of front-end practices and systems thinking, ability to influence leadership with data and user feedback, and a portfolio demonstrating UX solutions. Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, V0) and prompt writing is valued. You should be collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about open-source and internet security.
