Squarespace is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Client Engagement Group (CEG), a suite of tools helping entrepreneurs understand, manage, and grow customer relationships. CEG encompasses CRM and Automations: the Contacts experience that transforms customer data into actionable business decisions, and the Automations engine enabling sellers to scale by automating manual tasks. In this role, you will simplify complex workflows and data-rich interfaces, making sophisticated functionality feel intuitive and invisible to users. You'll design for real business logic, handling triggers, conditions, branching workflows, and customer data without exposing underlying complexity. Key responsibilities include leading data visualization efforts to surface audience growth, customer health, and engagement metrics in meaningful, actionable ways; thinking end-to-end across the seller journey from first lead interaction to long-term loyalty; prototyping motion and state to define how users interact with live data and complex UI states; and partnering cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and researchers to shape strategy and ship great work. You will drive craft and systems thinking, championing quality design and contributing to scalable frameworks that elevate the entire team. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating complex systems (workflow tools, data-rich interfaces, logic-heavy applications) made simple and human-centered. You are a systems thinker who designs at scale without losing detail, with strong visual and information design expertise. Figma proficiency is essential—you build scalable components and high-fidelity prototypes, moving fluidly from concept to refined micro-interactions. You communicate design decisions clearly to engineers, PMs, and leadership, and are deeply user-first, leveraging research and understanding the needs of busy business owners.
