Blueground is a global platform for flexible living, managing 60,000+ homes worldwide for stays ranging from days to a year or more. The company serves over 350 million annual movers and is building proprietary technology to redefine how people live. You'll join the BlueB team as a Senior Product Designer & Builder, responsible for designing and prototyping the internal Property Management System that powers Blueground's operations. BlueB supports critical workflows around home management, bookings, payments, and day-to-day operations at scale. This role sits at the intersection of product design and technical implementation. You'll lead full-cycle product design projects—from problem discovery and idea validation through design and delivery support. You'll use Figma and AI-assisted coding tools to create production-faithful prototypes that accelerate decision-making and bridge design and engineering. While you won't build complete production features, you may contribute targeted UI enhancements, refine interaction details, and help close gaps between intended design and shipped experience. Key responsibilities include identifying design opportunities to improve operations and business performance, leading projects autonomously from brief to scalable solution, simplifying complex internal workflows through thoughtful interaction and visual design, building functional prototypes using Figma and AI tools, contributing targeted UI improvements directly to the codebase, evolving Blueprint (the design system) across components and patterns, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle. You'll report to the Design Director and work within the BlueB product team, collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, operational stakeholders, and the wider Product Design team. The tech stack includes React, Next.js, Material UI for frontend development; Figma for design; Dovetail, Hotjar, and Posthog for research and analytics; and AI tools like Claude and Cursor. Requirements: - Strong experience designing complex B2B, enterprise, or internal products - Excellent product judgment and ability to connect user needs with business value - Confidence working autonomously and creating structure from ambiguity - Strong interaction and visual design craft, including complex states and data-dense interfaces - Hands-on experience building or scaling design systems - Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and component-based front-end development for effective engineer collaboration - Experience using AI-assisted tools to build functional prototypes and production UI - Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, systems thinking, strong craft, and technical prototyping
