GoGuardian's New Products team is a startup-like unit within the company, operating with autonomy and a direct line to leadership. The team has shipped two new products into real schools in the last four months and is expanding further. We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the end-to-end user experience for one of these products.
This is a high-autonomy role where you will lead design from strategy and interaction design through polished visual craft, becoming a trusted voice for UX decisions. You'll focus on one product, gaining the depth most designers rarely have: fewer context switches, deeper customer understanding, and genuine expertise in the digital safety insights space.
You will report to and partner closely with the Lead UX Designer, receiving regular coaching from someone with deep hands-on design experience. You'll collaborate closely on design direction, share work early and often, and contribute to principles and experiences shaping the newest products. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering from early strategy and discovery through implementation, bringing your perspective to a highly collaborative team.
Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end user experience from early strategy through shipped design; making strategic design decisions grounded in product goals and customer needs; bringing fresh ideas to the digital safety insights space; collaborating with PMs and senior engineers from strategy through implementation at a weekly shipping cadence; learning from real users and synthesizing evidence into clear product and design direction; turning complex product challenges into experiences that help users understand what matters and confidently take the next step; partnering with the Lead UX Designer to refine direction and maintain cohesive, high-quality experiences; and helping build a strong design culture through curiosity, thoughtful feedback, and willingness to challenge assumptions.
You have designed and shipped live software products, including at least one owned end-to-end from concept through launch. You bring strong judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity, having owned design for a product or major area using research, collaboration, and sound judgment. You understand the "why" behind work, connecting design decisions to customer needs, product goals, and business outcomes. You create clarity from complexity, designing experiences that help users quickly understand what's happening. You bring strong craft across interaction and visual design with high quality standards and attention to detail. You bring people along by explaining design decisions clearly, inviting early feedback, and building alignment with PMs and engineers. You care deeply about the people you design for, ideally with K-12 or education technology experience.
